For more than 38 years, Work Wear Alice Springs has proudly been servicing Central Australia, supporting authentic Australian brands designed to keep people safe while at work, ensuring they get home to their loved ones.
Owned and operated by Christine “Chris” Douglas for more than 30 years, the company has recently changed hands and is now under the leadership of owner and sole director Tanya Macnamara and CEO John Macnamara, joining the DD Group International Pty Ltd umbrella.
From 1st July, Work Wear Alice Springs was officially acquired by DD Group (DDG), a team that is immensely respectful of the legacy left behind by Chris and acknowledges her contribution to the Alice Springs and Central Australia community, explains CEO Mr Macnamara.
“Chris has been instrumental in growing Work Wear Alice Springs to the successful business it is today, recognised and respected for embodying the Central Australian spirit,” Mr Macnamara said.
In recent years, DDG has grown from a small family-owned company to become known as one of Australia’s most collaborative and reliable suppliers of workwear, workplace PPE, and site safety consumables, in the civil and construction sector, with a growing Australian footprint.
“At DDG, people matter to us, and our teams spanning across Australia, work tirelessly with our business partners to help foster and grow a culture of safety in support of the goal of Zero Harm.
“This is something we share with Chris, and we look forward to continuing to operate the business with the same values, namely our commitment to friendly customer-service and partnering with the local communities in which we do business in.”
As a proud Supply Nation registered business, DDG’s connection to country is important to the entire company, explains DDG Brand Ambassador and rugby league legend Scott Prince.
“For me to work alongside a business, it’s important that my values align with the company I’m representing. This couldn’t be truer when it comes to DDG, I’m proud to partner alongside a company that is working tirelessly to grow a culture of safety,” Mr Prince explains.
“Tanya, John and the whole team at DDG are incredibly proud of their recognition and alignment with Supply Nation, and rightfully so, and it’s a worthy nod for taking pride in their traditional roots, and unwavering commitment to forming genuine partnerships.”
